High School Career
At West Linn High School, Pritchard led the basketball team to four consecutive state championships. His performance earned him the Todd Pratt Player of the Year award in 2014 and 2015, the Oregon Class 6A Player of the Year, and the Gatorade Oregon Player of the Year in 2015. As a junior, he averaged 22 points and 5.8 assists per game, and in his senior year, he averaged 23.6 points, 6.8 assists, and 3.1 steals. A highly-rated recruit, he initially committed to the University of Oklahoma before deciding to play for the University of Oregon.
College Career at Oregon
Pritchard played four seasons for the Oregon Ducks, from 2016 to 2020. In his freshman year, he was a key player on the team that reached the Final Four of the NCAA Tournament, the program’s first appearance since the inaugural tournament.
Throughout his college career, Pritchard’s role and performance steadily grew. As a sophomore, he was the lone returning starter and saw his averages increase to 14.5 points, 4.8 assists, and 3.6 rebounds per game. In his junior season, he led Oregon to a Pac-12 Tournament Championship and was named the tournament’s Most Valuable Player.
His senior season was his most decorated. He averaged 20.5 points, 5.5 assists, and 4.3 rebounds per game. That year, he was named the Pac-12 Player of the Year, a consensus first-team All-American, and received the Bob Cousy Award as the nation’s top collegiate point guard. He finished his career at Oregon as the first player in Pac-12 history to accumulate over 1,900 points, 500 rebounds, and 600 assists. Professional Career with the Boston Celtics
