Early Life and Education
Kay Adams was born on April 6, 1986, in Chicago, Illinois. Her parents are immigrants from Poland. Adams grew up with two siblings. She became interested in a media career while attending Whitney M. Young Magnet High School.
After high school, Adams attended the University of Missouri, where she majored in communications. To support her education, she worked various part-time jobs, including as a bartender at a sports bar and a radio personality for local music and sports stations.
Broadcasting Beginnings
Adams began her career in sports broadcasting as an in-game host for the St. Louis Cardinals at their home games. Her early work primarily focused on fantasy football. She hosted shows such as Livin’ the Fantasy and SiriusXM Fantasy Drive for SiriusXM, as well as DirecTV’s NFL Sunday Ticket Fantasy Zone. Adams also worked as a reporter for NBC Sports Network and made guest appearances on network programs.
Good Morning Football Host
In 2016, Adams became one of the original hosts of the NFL Network’s new morning show, Good Morning Football, alongside Nate Burleson, Peter Schrager, and Kyle Brandt. The daily, year-round program became a signature show for the network. During her tenure, Adams gained national recognition for her engaging on-air presence and expertise, particularly in fantasy football.
While hosting Good Morning Football, Adams also took on other projects. From 2020 to 2022, she co-hosted the daily entertainment news show People (the TV show!), which was based on the magazine of the same name. She hosted the show until the spring of 2022. In May 2022, Adams announced her departure from Good Morning Football after a six-year run.
Up & Adams on FanDuel TV
Following her departure from NFL Network, Adams launched her own daily NFL show, Up & Adams, in partnership with FanDuel TV in September 2022. The program, which airs on FanDuel TV and streams on YouTube, features interviews with NFL players, coaches, and analysts covering major sports storylines.
