Early Life

Dillon Brooks was born on January 22, 1996, in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. He attended Findlay Prep in Henderson, Nevada, for high school.

College Career

Brooks played college basketball for the Oregon Ducks. During his time at Oregon, from 2014 to 2017, he became the first sophomore in the program’s history to score 1,000 career points. In his junior year, he earned All-Pac-12 honors. In 2017, he was named a consensus second-team All-American and was the Pac-12 Player of the Year. Following his junior season, Brooks declared for the 2017 NBA draft.

Professional Career

Memphis Grizzlies (2017–2023)

Brooks was selected as the 45th overall pick in the second round of the 2017 NBA Draft by the Houston Rockets, who then traded his draft rights to the Memphis Grizzlies. He began his professional career with the Grizzlies, where he developed a reputation for his tenacious defense. In 2023, he earned a selection to the NBA All-Defensive Second Team.

Houston Rockets (2023–2025)

In July 2023, Brooks was traded to the Houston Rockets. During his time in Houston, he was valued for his defensive intensity and accountability, which was seen as a stabilizing force for the young team.
